Unix timestamps are the lingua franca of backend systems — a single integer representing seconds since 1 January 1970 UTC. The trouble is they are meaningless to the human eye. This tool gives you a live timestamp counter at the top of the page, auto-detects whether you pasted seconds or milliseconds, and immediately shows you the equivalent ISO 8601, RFC 2822, and plain-English date in whatever timezone you choose.

01 Open the Unix Timestamp Converter
02 The live current timestamp is shown at the top — copy it any time
03 Paste your timestamp into the input field (seconds or ms — it detects automatically)
04 Select your target timezone
05 Read the formatted date in ISO, RFC 2822, and readable formats
06 Or switch to Date → Timestamp mode and pick a datetime to get its epoch value

Does it handle millisecond timestamps?

Yes — if the number is greater than 9,999,999,999 it is treated as milliseconds automatically. You can also force the mode.

Which timezones are supported?

UTC, your local browser timezone, and any valid IANA timezone string (e.g. America/New_York, Europe/London, Asia/Tokyo).

Can I convert in bulk?

Yes — the batch converter at the bottom accepts one timestamp per line and outputs a table of results.

Is the live counter accurate?

It updates every second using your browser clock, which is typically accurate to within a second.

Is this free?

Yes — free with no sign-in.

Free. Instant. No sign-in. Open it and get the job done.
